National Health Day

On this year commemoration of National Health Day, Health Ministry composes the theme “Indonesia Loves to be Healthy”. The aim of this year theme is to build awareness, commitment as well as concern from every element of the nation to increase the health status of Indonesian population.

Do you know that everyone can do something to make a healthy Indonesia? Yes, everyone, including YOU can contribute by doing simple actions such as:
- Support the provision of exclusive breastfeeding, except upon medical indication, to continue breastfeeding accompanied with supplementary food until the children reaches two years of age at a minimum.
- Wash hands with soap before eating, after defecation, before feeding, before preparing food, after cleaning a baby, and after contact with animals.
- Dispose of trash in its place.
- Do not smoke.
- Eating a balanced nutritious diet.
- Avoid alcohol, carbonated drinks and drinks with high sugar content and caffeine.
- Increase the drinking water/mineral 8 glasses a day.
- Planting trees at home.
- Use local products that are environmentally friendly.
- Drink a glass of water after waking up.
- Do the muscle relaxation for 5-10 minutes in the morning.
- Encouraging pregnant women to diligently check their health in integrated health post/community health center.
- Provide particular time and facilities for breastfeeding mothers at workplaces and public facilities.
